On June 10, 2023, the Vice Dean of the College of Education, Mr. Safad M. Mohammed, participated in the international chess training course held in Erbil.

The course was organized by the Asian Chess Federation Academy - Erbil Branch, in cooperation with the Iraqi Chess Federation, and continued for three days with the aim of training participants and preparing coaches and technical staff for the game of chess.

By the end of the course, the aforementioned lecturer was awarded an international chess trainer certificate.
